Axis was responsible for the preparation of an outline planning application with all matters reserved for a proposed residential development of 275 dwellings, new highway access, public open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure on a 29 hectare site at Dudman Farm, Truro, Cornwall.

The application was supported by a suite of supporting information, including a comprehensive EIA.

The site is environmentally sensitive in terms of ecology and air quality issues. In addition the site’s access is onto the A390, which is one of the busiest routes into Truro and is experiencing highway capacity issues.

The application was heard by Cornwall Council’s Strategic Planning Committee who resolved to approve the planning application, subject to the completion of a S106 agreement, on the 17th December 2015.

The S106 agreement was ultimately completed on the 1st June 2016 and outline planning permission was formally granted on the 2nd June 2016.
