The planning team at Axis is delighted to announce that they have secured outline Planning Consent for a major mixed-use development at Treloggan in Newquay.
The development will feature 134 new homes of which 35% (47) would be affordable, new commercial and office spaces, new shops, a new public house/restaurant, and a play park for children in the heart of the site.
To cater for different audiences within the local community, it is intended that the residential properties will provide a broad range of house types, including 1 bed apartments through to 4 or 5 bed houses.
The development would feature a sustainability ‘Green Link’ with new planting, ponds, and greenery running through the site, which will also incorporate multiple pedestrian and cycle links.
The development will make an important contribution to the provision of housing and small-scale commercial and office development for the local area, while also creating a new character for this part of Newquay.
The expert and diligent advice from Lee Kendall and Alex Bannister in our Transport Planning Team played a significant role in securing planning consent. The site is in a very busy area of Newquay with limited highway capacity and a local road network containing numerous highway constraints. Without their determination and skilled input, planning consent would not have been forthcoming. Thanks too to CAD Architects who were lead consultant on the application.
