Appeal Upheld
On 9 February 2015 the Planning Inspectorate upheld an appeal by Miller Developments for a 350 bed hall of residence scheme at Tower Wharf, Chester. Axis prepared the Transport Assessment, Travel Plan and Parking Management Plan to support the original planning submissions and provided highways expert witness at the Public Inquiry held in early 2015.
Residential Developments
Axis have recently been commissioned to prepare formal transport planning submissions to support residential development projects in Rochdale, Manchester, Stockport, Crewe, Macclesfield and Denbighshire.
Planning Consent Delivered
Axis Transport Planning were part of the multi-disciplinary team that successfully delivered planning consent for the 172 apartment Axis Tower residential scheme, Manchester City Centre. Axis prepared a Transport Statement and Travel Plan to support the proposals. In addition Axis also prepared submissions on highway and tram safety with respect to the potential impacts of a 7m by 29m moving image media screen proposed to the Trafford Street elevation to the building.
Highway Design Projects
Axis Transport Planning are currently project managing a number of S184 / S278 detailed highway design projects in support of development consents, including schemes in Leicester, Leeds, Widnes, Conwy, Shropshire and Crewe.
