Key Takeaways from this year's NSIP Forum 2025 featured

The NSIP Forum 2025 in London on 26 February provided a valuable platform for discussing the future of the NSIP regime and its role in accelerating Clean Power 2030.

A key challenge highlighted – in regards to advancing the DCO process for clean power by 2030 – was the Government’s commitment to consenting 150 major infrastructure projects during this parliament. While recent DCO process reforms have been well received, attendees discussed the critical need for collaboration across all parties involved to translate these reforms into quicker consents.

As Andrew Russell and Tom Roseblade from Axis observed, it’s clear that getting consent is just the beginning. The industry must also prepare for the challenges of delivering these consents, including the significant work involved in discharging DCO requirements and ensuring ongoing compliance during project delivery.

Tom shared his thoughts: “While the reforms to the DCO process are a step in the right direction, it’s evident that collaboration between stakeholders is key to turning these intentions into results. Axis is ready to support clients throughout the entire project lifecycle, from securing consents to delivering projects on the ground.”

Axis is well-positioned to support the rapid delivery of Clean Power 2030 infrastructure, working across the full project lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes.
