Leading integrated waste and resource management company Urbaser Ltd has successfully acquired Hartlepool-based J&B Recycling with the help of Axis’ due diligence consultancy.
Working as Urbaser’s trusted planning advisor, we were commissioned to assess the planning status of J&B Recycling’s four integrated waste recycling and processing facilities in north-east England ahead of the transaction.
The planning due diligence project involved the review of each individual site and assessment of planning risks.
Satisfied with the results of the assessment, Urbaser went ahead with the acquisition, which represents a significant step forward in their plans for growth within the UK marketplace. The acquisition also means the business can broaden the range of sustainable waste management services they offer.
